Parish officials have announced that administrative offices will close at noon Tuesday along with the cities of Mandeville and Slidell. Covington offices will close at 2 p.m.

Parish President Kevin Davis said, "Most of our employees are parents, and with the schools closing two hours early tomorrow, it is in the best interest of families to allow parents to be with their children. The region is celebrating out Super Bowl victory and this should be a family event."

“Just like everyone else, Slidell employees have Saints fever and they want to be a part of this historic celebration,” said Slidell Mayor Ben Morris. “By closing down a little early, we’re allowing then an opportunity to joint the thousands of fans expected at tomorrow’s event. We certainly want Slidell to be in that number.”

Covington Mayor Candace Watkins said the city’s employees also want to attend the parade. “We thought it appropriate to close,” she said.

The public is asked to call the offices from which they need services before coming in Tuesday afternoon. All offices will be open until noon and essential personnel will remain on duty.
