Margaret Pittman Holifield born Dec. 20, 1918, went to heaven Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010.

Greeting her in heaven are her parents, Luther and Ada Fountaine Pittman; her husband, Vander Odell Holifield; son, Vander Richard Holifield; grandson, Randy Dale Crowe; great-grandson, Daniel Raven Crowe; brothers, Mulford Pittman, Harrison Pittman and Claude Pittman; and sisters Dove Welch, Minnie Ellzey, Aline Powell, Vallie Yates.

Missing her are her sons, Allen Holifield (daughter-in-law Mona) and Leonard Holifield (daughter-in-law Nikki); daughters, Mary Sawyer (son-in-law Bobbie) and Laura Myra Malley (son-in-law Darrell); her brother, Cliff Pittman; sister, Ollie Newsome; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 7-10 p.m. at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Louisiana Highway 41, Pearl River.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m.

Officiating will be Brother Waller and Sister Bessie.

Interment will be in Pearl Hickory Cemetery, in Pearl River.

Sheriff and Slidell police on the hunt for armed robber

The armed robber, who is suspected of two armed robberies last week on Brownswitch Road and Robert Boulevard in Slidell, is also suspected for the robbery of the Blockbuster Video store at the corner of Gause Boulevard and Military Road Wednesday afternoon.
