BLACKWELL
Hezzie Donice “H.D.” Blackwell, 83, a life long resident of Folsom, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 27, 2009. H.D. was married to Peggy Fitzmorris Blackwell for 57 years. They were lifelong companions and best friends. Together they raised five children, Sandra LeBlanc (husband, Bobby), Deborah Varnado (husband, David), Tim Blackwell (wife, Rosanne), Elizabeth Willie (husband, Reggie) and Patricia Foster (husband, John). He was grandfather to Jason and Bryan LeBlanc, Bo and Beth Blackwell, Nicholas Varnado, Jarrad and Jordan and Willie and Jacob Foster. He was also the great-grandfather to Abigail LeBlanc, Connelly and Blaise Blackwell, Deaton LeBlanc and Madelyn Willie. He is also survived by one brother, June “Coot” Blackwell and sisters, Evelyn Pittman and Jewett Gay. He was preceded in death by his father, Fleet Blackwell; his mother, Tera Wascom; brothers, Jake, Claude and Fleet, Jr. and sisters, Vernie and Edna Blackwell.

Dale L. Burgess, 62, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009. She was the beloved wife of William W. Burgess; the loving mother of Joseph E. Burgess. Godmother of Heather Doolittle; daughter of the late Edith Root LeBlanc and Joseph Edgar LeBlanc, Jr. and the sister of the late Edith L. Huffman. She is also survived by three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-niece and one great-nephew. Mrs. Burgess was a native of Metairie, and a resident of Altoona, Penn., for the past four years.

Clarise Abadie Waller, 96, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late John T. Waller, Sr.; loving mother of John, Jr. (Tommy) Waller and wife Eve, Melvin Waller and Mary (Cissey) McCabe and husband Rob. She was the sister of the late Lucille LaFrance, Mildred Bocage, Barbara Pendergast and Thomas Abadie. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Lacombe for the past 36 years.
